Mornin' all! Up again at 5am. Why? Not like I'm sleepy, the eyes just pop open sometime around 4:30 and I have no desire to go back to sleep. Could be worse, this could be happening at 2am. I know that will be happening in 3 months (or less), but I'll actually have a reason to be up that early!
For those of you who hadn't heard already, we have a name! Her name will be Emily Paige LeJeune. Derek came up with Emily, and it wasn't until after we picked it that we found out that Emily was PawPaw Lafont's mother's name, so she will have a connection to her great-great grandmother. Paige comes from our niece Mallory Paige Abshire, who is our little angel in heaven who sent us Emily in the first place! We love the name and hope you like it too.
Feeling good still. Low back pain virtually gone the last couple days. Went to PT yesterday for some final tweaks on my mid back and now I only have to see her again if I need it.
Nothing much else going on. Work is busy, but not unbearable, so I am getting some walking in every day there. No foot swelling, just some ankle puffiness, but I've always had a slight cankle thing going, so there's no surprises there. As far as how Emily is doing, she is doing great. Had a dr. appointment Tuesday and all is well. She's turned a couple times in the last few days, so now I'm getting a couple of belly shots from her feet. Most days she kicks straight down, making me think I'll see a tiny foot shooting out of my nethers! (nice image, I know) That's one aspect of pregnancy I know I'll miss. It's like she's letting me know, "Hey! Still in here! Whatcha doing?? "
Even though I know she's in there, and I am definitely getting rounder, the idea of her being here still hasn't hit me. Our first baby shower is this weekend at my mom's, maybe that'll help. But the fact that she could be here in less than 3 months (or really at any time now) is not something I can even fathom right now. I guess the more baby gear we get in the house will help it settle in. Thanks for all the checking up on us! Hope the next 12 weeks will go as smoothly as the last 28!
